Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his first title for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has experienced a torrid period, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in particular - caused him falling of the top ten and eventually separating with former trainer Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents his initial championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt from that period of the previous year.
The win also means the Russian has won 21 victories at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters at once, so to secure a title is particularly special," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my child her name, because the first title I got when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, comprising in Halle earlier this year.
The player's defensive strategy and recurring emotional displays on the tennis court had led some to question if his skill to play at the highest level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete positively, backed up by an improved service.
He fought back from a break down in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the following set before Moutet, striving for his initial ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to push for a decider.
The opponent rescued 4 initial chances in a competitive third set before the champion secured a break to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the win with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to handle a return after a lengthy match.
